Your current position in the company? I’m involved in new product development, the drawing up of company catalogues, the drafting and implementation of cross-lists showing our own products and competitors’.
How do you see your job? It’s challenging, but also – in light of the success and reputation our Group enjoys all over the world – highly rewarding.
Your hobbies? Basketball, but I also love my dog and have a keen interest in cars.
Your taste in cinema? Italian comedies, and Italian cinema in general, such as the famous Nuovo Cinema Paradiso by Giuseppe Tornatore, which won the Oscar in 1990. But there are also plenty of other genres I enjoy, such as the Star Wars saga, Schindler’s list, Hachiko…
Your favourite book? La sedia di Lulù. It’s the true story of Alessandra Santandrea, a young girl who is paralysed and confined to a wheelchair following a car crash; she learns to live again thanks to the close companionship of her dog, Lulù. Definitely a read I’d recommend.
Your favourite singers? When it comes to Italian artists I’m a big fan of Stadio, the legendary Mina and the music of Ennio Morricone. At international level I’m particularly fond of Peter Gabriel and KC and Sunshine Band.
Your favourite recipe? Cold fish hors-d’oeuvres, Bolognese lasagne, grilled meats and vegetables, Sicilian cannoli… delicious stuff!
Any messages to our readers? Yes, I’d like to share three simple rules by Albert Einstein that I’ve always tried to observe both at work and in life in general:
1) out of clutter find simplicity
2) from discord find harmony
3) in the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.
